Geauga Faith Rescue Mission is a faith based non-profit organization founded in 2014 with the intention of creating a private-sector funded and faith-based Rescue Mission in Geauga County in order to proactively address the needs of the growing homeless community. The Mission operated as a voucher program until opening Geauga County's very first emergency men's homeless shelter located at 339 Washington Street in Chardon on November 13th, 2022. The Mission has plans to open a women's shelter in the future.
Geauga Faith Rescue Mission's mission is to offer faith, hope, and purpose through the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing shelter, food, spiritual guidance, and community for those in crisis.
GFRM is not affiliated with any specific church or denomination. Our staff is comprised of mostly volunteers with a paid Executive Director. We are thankful for our volunteers, donors, and community partners who generously give their time and financial resources to help the homeless community find shelter, hope, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those of the household of faith." Galatians 6:10
